Two other cross-Channel interconnectors tipped to ease UK energy woes after Aquind planning snub

The successful delivery of two alternative cross-Channel power cables has taken on extra importance because of the UK government’s decision to spike plans for the 2Gw Aquind interconnector between France and the UK.

Adding more energy pressure is the expected rise in energy bills of nearly 50% – amounting to £600 a year for the average household – when the price cap is lifted in April.
