The U.S. Senate passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The $1.2-trillion bill will now move to the U.S. House for consideration.
“After years and years and years of ‘Infrastructure Week,’ we’re on the cusp of an infrastructure decade that I truly believe will transform America,” President Joe Biden said following the vote.
The five-year bill includes $106.9 billion in funding for public transit and $102.1 billion for passenger and freight rail.
