Ray O’Rourke to step down from Group Chief Executive role

Ray O’Rourke is stepping down as Group Chief Executive of Laing O’Rourke next September.

The firm’s founder and majority shareholder will be succeeded by Seamus French who is currently CEO of mining giant Anglo American‘s Bulk Commodities and Other Minerals division.

French will will join the O’Rourke leadership team in January – initially as Managing Director of the Europe Hub and CEO-designate, on a three-year contract.
