A stretch of the £100bn High Speed 2 line is to be raised by 2m from earlier plans to create a range of environmental benefits

🚆|Main contractor Balfour Beatty Vinci (BBV) has abandoned proposals to use concrete retaining walls along a small section of track in Warwickshire.

The redesign removes the need to excavate 150,000m3 of soil and requires 60,000m3 less concrete and steel.
