LA: Inglewood’s proposed $1.4-billion fix for SoFi’s traffic problems

Inglewood Mayor James Butts is trying to fund a $1.4 billion, 1.8-mile automated people mover he sees as being the missing piece to making a global entertainment and sports hub.

Thousands of SoFi stadium-bound fans clogged streets, filled neighborhoods and jostled for thousand dollar parking spaces on Sunday, a scenario that unlikely pleased residents or tourists.

But imagine a train that could drop you off right in front of the Super Bowl, or for that matter, the World Cup or the Olympics opening and closing ceremony and ease the nightmare traffic the city of Inglewood is actually preparing for during Super Bowl.
